The Caorle's green flag is weaving. This year a brand new flag waves on the beach, it is the green flag certification given by the paediatricians and it recognised the top child-friendly beaches in Italy.
Criteria for the assignment are very simple: clear and healthy sea, low tide at seashore, sand suitable for castles, an efficient lifeguard service, an entertainment service and above all safe playing area. Caorle enters the top-100-chart of Italian seasides. The green flag recognise the quality of the Adriatic Sea that is an investment made by the citizens and the stakeholders to guarantee a safe holiday to the young guests. The lifeguard service keeps you safe in the water and helps you enjoy a dip and in some area there is the additional assistance of lifeguard-dogs. For what concerns the entertainment, Caorle counts not only on children's entertainer and aqua gym trainers, but on "ecological" lessons. In fact the partnership with the firm responsible for the waste collection, (ASVO), has been provided for years games and special activities for young tourists, for instance they have been made aware of importance for selective waste collection. Additionally for what concerns the playing area, the Consortium placed on the beach slides, swings, gym area, beach volley and bocce ball courts. This year a new maxi play area for kids will be installed between the East-beach baths“L2” ed “L3”, the area will be 6 meters high and 20 meters long. Divided into two levels, the attraction will have several slides, both opened and closed, coloured linking tubes and observation towers. “It is another huge investment for big playing area for children" -explained the chairman of the Consorzio Arenili, Riccardo Rothmuller – being the families one of the most important market segment of our beaches, our attention is now centred on this services”. Moreover to guarantee the Green flag assignment, the destination needs suitable services for families and apart from a beautiful beach, also sporting courts, restaurants and bars are useful to create a "family friendly holiday".
